Colleen Camenisch - Women's Leadership Summit NV

Colleen Camenisch

Colleen Camenisch is the owner of equilibrium-MBSR which is a company that offers Mindfulness Programs to individuals and organizations. During her career path as a business professional, she found that stress was beginning to take over the quality of her life.  She was not only experiencing significant stress, but also she began to suffer physically. Realizing that her direction in life needed to be dramatically altered, she moved to Massachusetts to attend a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program at the UMASS Center for Mindfulness. This program changed her life.

Colleen has been teaching Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction programs along with other meditation courses for over eight years, including teaching one year at the UMASS Center for Mindfulness, and is a Certified Teacher through the UMASS Center for Mindfulness. In addition to the MBSR classes, she has taught many modified programs, at many large companies, hospitals including a program for victims of trauma at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Massachusetts, and has taught programs in conjunction with the Nevada Psychology Association.

Colleen’s other professional experience includes a Masters Degree in Business and a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from UNR. Additionally, she completed a post-graduate course in International Business and Trade Law at the United Nations International Labor Organization. She also works part-time for University of Nevada Medical School on Project ECHO.

Her practical business skills coupled with her extensive formal education have brought a unique combination of professionalism, knowledge, and sincere compassion to all of her work. In all of her personal and professional endeavors, she has strived to find ways to make the world and community a better place.

Colleen will join Women’s Leadership Summit speaker Yvonne Stedham for a dual lecture in Mindful Based Stress Reduction tactics for business leadership.
